SPEECH TEAM PRACTICE-- after school with Mrs. Alexander, and tonight with Mr. Moeller--get signed up for this week's practices NOW!

Auditions for the school play will be held TONIGHT, Monday January 23rd starting at 6:30 P.M. in the Fine Arts. If you have a conflict, please talk to Mr. Dozler or Mrs. Glaubius to schedule a private audition.

Congratulations to the Gator Speech team, which took second overall at the North Bend Central Invitational Saturday! Individual finalists: Bryant Peck informative and poetry champion and runner-up finish in persuasive speaking. Third place medals went to Karl Steinmeyer in entertainment, Jose Ramirez in program of interpretation, Olivia Keller in persuasive, the duet team of Lilly Leathers and Mitchell Siebrandt and the drama team of Izzy Manning, Camrynn Marx and Laura Ramirez-Torres. Other Gator varsity finalists included Laura taking two fourth place medals with a fourth place finish in persuasive and for being part of the drama team of Kinnison, Brynn Oswald, Ramirez, Trey Stewart and Steinmeyer. Camrynn Marx claimed fourth place honors in poetry, McKenna Slonecker finished fifth overall in serious prose, while Mitchell Siebrandt rounded out the varsity finalists with a sixth place in extemporaneous speaking. In novice competition, the drama team of Tatiyana Camacho, Brooklyn Siebrant, Landree Loeske, Addie Sateren and Lilly Leathers finished third, while the duet acting team of Mariah Andersen and Sateren finished fifth. Good work, Gators!

Congratulations to the following Wisner-Pilger Band students who auditioned for and were selected to the Nebraska Class C All-State Honor Band. Junior High - Kirra Johnson, flute; Chesney Ruskamp, 1st chair alto saxophone; Sylas Delmont, trumpet; Ramsey Arduser, 1st chair French horn; and Laura Borgelt, French horn. The following high school students were selected to the Wind Ensemble, which is the highest possible group to be selected to. Senior High - Laura Ramirez-Torres, 1st chair clarinet; Jose Ramirez, 1st chair bass clarinet; Laura Kinnison, 1st chair alto saxophone; Mitchell Siebrandt, trumpet; Tatiyana Camacho, 2nd chair French horn; Dustin Siebrandt, trombone; and Karl Steinmeyer, 1st chair mallet percussion. Congratulations on a job well done!
