One act members... if you have personal items or clothes among the one act costumes, get them ASAP, before they are "repurposed"! Remember--the Elvis costumes and t-shirts are yours if you want them, so claim them by the end of the week!

Speech Season begins next week! Sign up sheets for events are posted outside Mr. Moeller's room! The first practice date will be next Monday! For those interested in speech team but not sure about an event, see Mr. Moeller or Mrs. Alexander this week!

Juniors... concession stand sign-up is in the office for Thursday, December 29th. Please sign up by Friday, December 16th.

Door Decorating Contest... Student Council will be sponsoring a door decorating contest again this year. Doors will be judged on Tuesday, December 20th. The winning Flex class will receive treats on Wednesday, December 21st. Door designs should be approved in advance by your flex teacher.

Schedule Changes... Students requesting a schedule change for next semester may pick up a Schedule Change Request Form from the counseling office starting Monday, December 12th. Forms must be signed and returned to the counseling office by Friday, December 16th.

Juniors... Prom meeting is changed to Friday, December 16th at 7:45 a.m. in Mrs. Olson's room.

Calendar Update/Change... The Junior High Boys Basketball Game scheduled for Thursday, December 8th has been rescheduled for Monday, December 19th, 4PM at Oakland-Craig.

Holiday Food Drive Competition... Student Council is sponsoring a food drive to benefit our local food banks. Please donate by bringing canned or shelf-stable foods to school. Donations can be dropped off at the tree by the study hall area. The goal is to collect 1,000 items. If the goal is met, students will earn a pajama and popcorn day and concessions will be open on the last day of school. We have currently collected 98 items.

Juniors... The Greater Omaha Council Bluffs Area Council on Youth Leadership has opened applications for the 2023 "Youth Salute". Awards include a photographic banner displayed at school and an opportunity to win scholarships and a national leadership experience. To qualify a student must: (1) be a high school junior, (2) Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and (3) have held two leadership positions within the past two years in school, religious, or community sponsored organizations. Students who qualify should apply at www.greateromaha.youthsalute.com. The deadline to apply is December 18th. See Mrs. Reese if you have questions.

December 22... December 22 is a Noon Dismissal. In addition to the incentives for the food drive, we will have games and activities starting at 10:15 for all students in good academic standing. In order to participate, students must be passing all classes and have no missing work. Students with missing work or failing grades will work with teachers from 10:15 until noon dismissal.
