A mandatory meeting for students taking Psychology next semester will take place in the study hall area during Flex on Wednesday (tomorrow).
Holiday Food Drive Student Council is sponsoring a food drive to benefit our local food banks. Please donate by bringing canned or shelf-stable foods to school. Donations can be dropped off at the tree by the study hall area. The goal is to collect 1,000 items. If the goal is met, students will earn the concession stand being open on the last day of the semester. We have currently collected 176 items.
Door Decorating Contest Student Council will be sponsoring a Flex Period Door Decorating Contest. Door designs must be approved by each Flex teacher, and materials must be collected by the Flex teacher (students are not allowed to go to the Art room). Doors will be judged on December 20 and the winning Flex class will get treats on December 21.
Schedule Changes... Students requesting a schedule change for next semester may pick up a Schedule Change Request Form from the counseling office starting Monday, December 11th. Forms must be signed and returned to the counseling office by Friday, December 22nd.
Scholarship Opportunity for Juniors: The Greater Omaha Council Bluffs Area Council on Youth Leadership has opened applications for the 2023 "Youth Salute". Awards include a photographic banner displayed at school and an opportunity to win scholarships and a national leadership experience. Youth Salute will be awarding over 1.6 million dollars worth of scholarships this year. To qualify a student must: (1) be a high school junior, (2) Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and (3) have held two leadership positions within the past two years in school, religious, or community sponsored organizations. Students who qualify should apply at www.greateromaha.youthsalute.com. The deadline to apply is December 21st. See Mrs. Reese if you have questions.
MUSICAL AUDITIONS... Please come and sign up for an audition time on Miss Daly's door. You can pick up audition materials on the music stand outside her door. Email Miss Daly at sdaly@igators.org if you have any questions. Spring musical auditions are December 19th and 20th.
Juniors will have concessions on Thursday, December 28th. Sign up in the office for a shift by Thursday, December 21st.
