Wisner-Pilger Claims Conference Speech Title

The Wisner-Pilger speech team claimed the East Husker Conference's north Division championship Wednesday at the conference contest at the Nielsen Center in West Point.

The Gators had five overall champions--Veronica Peck led the way with two gold medals in informative speaking and poetry, while Grace Steinmeyer took first in extemporaneous speaking, Becca Thompson eared the persuasive speaking title, and Brett Andersen claimed first place gold in entertainment speaking.  In addition, Jaden Berlin was runner-up in poetry while Claire Raabe, Megan Schroeder and Becca Thompson won silver medals in drama.

For the Gators, it is their sixth conference championship in eight years.
