One-Acts Up and Running

The cast and crew have been selected for the 2011-12 Wisner-Pilger Gator one-act play production team. The team, directed by Mr. Moeller, went through tryouts in order to be cast in “Resolution for a Walking Shadow”.
“Resolution for a Walking Shadow” involves a walk-on character in Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” who decides that the play is too depressing and leaves in the middle of a performance—taking Ophelia (the leading female character in Hamlet) with him. What ensues is a comedy of errors as the two attempt to start a play of their own in the real world, only to have the cruelty of real life stop them.
Seniors who are in their fourth Gator one-act play include Latham Fullner, Zach Johnson, Cassie Kerkman, Stephanie Jones, Sara Lenox, Rosario Orozco, Sarah Schweers, Courtney VonSeggern and Kendra Wolverton. The Gator cast and crew will try to surpass last year’s success, as the Gators tied for the conference championship and finished second at the district championship.
The performance schedule is as follows: November 17th—12th Annual Gator Play Production Festival; November 22nd—East Husker Conference @ Wisner-Pilger; November 28th—School Performance; November 29th-Community Performance. The Gators’ C-1 district site and date has yet to be determined.
