Quiz Bowl Team to Appear on KCAU
The Wisner-Pilger quiz bowl team taped two television rounds for the KCAU Quiz Bowl. The team won both matches and has advanced to the semi-finals. Wisner-Pilger was the #1 seed and took on Maple Valley-Anthon Oto (an Iowa team) in the first round. Wisner-Pilger scored 205 points over MVAO’s 110. The second round was played against Esterville Lincoln Central and the team won with a score of 225 to 130.
The first Quiz Bowl match will be aired on February 5 at 11 am. The team will return to Sioux City to tape the remaining matches on April 10th. The KCAU Quiz Bowl team members are Connor Bloedorn, Elliott Fullner, Micah Fullner, Alex Glaubius, and Steven Schutte. Bloedorn served as captain. Their coaches are Kate Trindle and Sharon Rief.
